Lahore Fort - Elephant Path

While I was studying in the states, I got some strange questions from my fellow students some of these questions were, Do you have cars in Pakistan or do you still ride on Elephants? Do you wear clothes where you come from or do you use leaves to cover yourselves? How did you learn English? These and some other strange questions used to catch us by surprise and we'd always smile before we answered.

Well this is actually a path next to the entrance of the Lahore Fort, The Mughals used to travel in style on "Elephants" This path was used by the elephants to enter the Fort.

I'm sorry you had to answer such stupid questions in the United States! Every country has some idiots!

Looking forward to your new posts. A great way to let people know how life in Pakistan is.
We traveled three month in Pakistan in 2009. From Wagah Border to China, and it was awesome, with the train, busses, minibusses, cars. And we met so good people there. A very special time. And when I tell others from our experience, they are surprised, what you traveled in Pakistan with two kids, and so on. Pakistan is a must visit country.

How embarrassing that you had to answer such stupid questions. It says how much the USA need to open up to the outside world. I'm glad you were able to face such questions with a smile rather than with anger at their stupidity.

Anyway, your blog is beautiful and pays a tribute to your country's long and rich history.

Keep up the good work!

BTW you seem to have a lot of spam comments - perhaps you will want to moderate the comments or turn on word verification ?

Our moment had passed somehow. I was different. He was, too. Without our “madness” to unite us, there wasn’t anything much there. Or maybe too much had happened in too short a time. It’s like when you take a trip with someone you don’t know very well. Sometimes you can get very close very quickly, but then after the trip is over, you realise all that was a false sort of closeness. An intimacy based on the trip more than the travellers, if that makes any sense.
