Jehangir's Sarcophagus

Inside the burial chamber of Jehangir's Tomb, you can see beautiful art work on the walls and floor, all made in white marble. The sarcophagus of the Emperor is decorated in Arabic script with prayers and the 99 names of God .

Beautiful. And I like the fact that people are in their normal poses. Here it would be unthinkable someone lying on the floor next to a monument of this importance.

It is quite normal for people to visit such monuments in Pakistan, In fact in Islam there are two places that are considered to be ideal to sleep in if you don't have shelter at night, a mosque or next to a grave.

Beautiful place. And the marble floor does look like a cool setting for sitting on a hot day.
