I love Islamic art, I can not resist! Today was plsnning to go see an exhibition entitled "The Path of Princes- Masterpieces from the Aga Khan Museum Collection", but unfortunately it rained a lot all day and I didnt live home. However today my post will focus on the Arab influence that today is felt in Portugal.
Uma i'm sorry you missed the exhibit, it sure would have been wonderful, in the mean time I will try and give you an exhibit of the Mughal art and architecture here at Lahore Daily.
Jim, Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed them.
Magiceye, Mughal architecture is amazing and the art is even more so.
Uselaine, I'm glad you enjoyed.
Wienermaedel, I wouldn't expect any less from an Emperor centuries ago who ruled one of the biggest and most powerful empires of his times.
Alex, Pakistan and India have some of the best buildings and art from Mughal era.
These pictures of the tomb are just stunning! I'd love to see them "in the flesh" as it were, but as that's unlikely your photos are a good alternative :)

Great looking pictures, they are better than the ones on wikipedia.
incredible fine detailing
The architecture is beautiful: the doors, the wall decoration, the archway.
Not a poor and not a modest man, but beautiful architecture!
I love this building, so majestic and so beautiful.
