Zamzamah

"He sat, in defiance of municipal orders, astride the gun Zamzamah on her brick platform opposite the old Ajaib-Gher -the Wonder House, as the natives call the Lahore Museum.Who hold Zam-Zammah, that 'fire-breathing dragon', hold the Punjab, for the great green-bronze piece is always first of the conqueror's loot." Opening from Rudyard Kipling's Kim.

Ps. Sorry for being away from the comments, I have been out of town on my farm for the past 5-6 days and didn't have access to the internet my sister has been posting posts that I had drafted before I left. The good news is I took lots of pictures on the way so the next few days are going to be a tour of some famous sights from Lahore.

Thank you very much. Now I have seen Zam-zammah! It is a very impressive looking cannon. Now it would have been nice if you could have got some cheeky streetkid to pose on top of it!

They just don't make them like that anymore. Look at that decoration.
