Known as the "Baradari" this is part of the Hiran Minar complex built by the Mughal Emperor Jehangir in honor of his pet "deer". This vast complex boasts a tower, large gardens, the Baradari and a pound around it. In this picture you can see the causeway connecting the mainland to the Baradari which is in the middle of the pond.

Stunning! Both the photo, and the idea that somebody with too much wealth would choose to spend on pet deer.
What a wonderful photo! Very nice!
What a nice photo that is. The Baradari seems to be very popular with locals; perhaps a favorite family outing, yes?
Your shot makes me want to go further!
A nice photo through the tunnel.
I hope you get a chance to come over to my brookville blog and see me wearing a blonde wig.
Nice picture with shade and light...
I like this “tunnel” which guides the glance towards this building

interesting story of a man so intimate with his pet
Brilliant perspective and framing!
And thanks for the historical background, it's so much nicer when you learn a bit about the country as well.
Great photo and perspective. I like that the walls of the tunnel have enough light so we can see some detail.
